This process can manufacture large diameter rings from
plate without material loss. Sandmeyer Steel Company
will bandsaw cut stainless steel bars then roll them
into easy-way or hard-way rings that comply with ASME
standards.
Milling
of Duplex stainless steel plate achieves extremely
close tolerances whether you need a special edge for
a rectangular plate or for a custom shape or configuration.
We also bevel edges upon customer request. Sandmeyer
Steel Company maintains heavy-duty milling machines
such as our three axis, double column vertical milling
center.
Machincut
is Sandmeyer Steel Company’s house specialty
for cutting Duplex stainless steel as well as other
stainless steels or nickel alloy steels. Machincut is
generally the same price as plasma cutting but attains
smoother edges and closer tolerances as well as more
refined aesthetic finish. We can Machincut grooves,
bevels, edge finishes, or fine surfaces according to
the customer’s needs.
Polishing
at Sandmeyer Steel Company can result in a standard
#4 finish or a 5 RMS maximum according to customer specification.
Polishing achieves the aesthetic, reflective finish
that is necessary for many of our customer’s applications.
